On November 7, 2022 Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church (TSA) Thrift Shop volunteer, Jennifer Cooke, presented a cheque for $2300 to Ann Blimkie, the Financial Administrator for Community Living Renfrew County South. Each quarter a portion of the net sales of the Thrift Shop is given back to a local community agency.
Community Living Renfrew County South is a charitable organization that works with others to improve the quality of life for 117 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families living in Renfrew and Arnprior.
The TSA Thrift Shop (basement of the United Church – corner of Plaunt and Quarry) sells clothing, books and small household goods at affordable prices.
TSA Thrift Shop hours are Thursdays 12 to 6 and Saturdays 10 to 2. Donations of goods may be made when the Shop is open or Mondays and Wednesday from 9 -2, when volunteers are sorting. Enter through the Quarry St. entrance.

Community Living Renfrew County South (CLRCS) has launched a recruitment campaign for five new volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors to help support people who have an intellectual disability and their families.
CLRCS is seeking volunteers with one or more of the following areas of expertise: Human Resources Management, Executive Management, Legal, Information Technology/digital, Facilities Management, and/or Communications.

Opportunities are available in our Supported Group Living program in Arnprior and/or Renfrew for Part time and on-call Support Workers. Hours include days, evenings, overnights and weekends; typical shifts are 12 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing respectful direct care supports including personal care, dispensing medication, supporting individuals with daily routines, teaching life skills, meal preparation, household chores, driving association vehicles, respecting privacy and rights, maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications: secondary school diploma, valid first aid/cpr certification, valid driver’s license, current criminal/vulnerable sector check and drivers abstract report. Good communication skills, organizational skills and previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities. PSW, DSW, SSW, ECE are all assets.
The hourly rate for this position is $ 20.44 per hour along with additional vacation accrual percentage.
