Manager of Supports and Services

We currently have an opening for a Manager of Supports and Services.
This is a management position and is not part of the collective bargaining unit.

This is a full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday-8 am – 4 pm -onsite required.

Required skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage, plan and monitor program for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Provide, support, supervision and training to front-line support staff.
  • Design and facilitate education sessions to assist staff with support and necessary resources.
  • Ability to guide, coach and motivate staff.
  • Value and support diversity within the organization.
  • Manage program budgets and individual’s finances in accordance with policies and procedures and approved operational budgets.
  • Ensure completion and maintenance of all required documents and manage program and properties in accordance to agency guidelines and Ministry compliance.
  • Conduct audits and monitor and ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
  • Manage scheduling within program.
  • Manage time attendance for payroll completion.
  • Manage performance of all direct report employees.
  • Organize and chair meetings.
  • Share in providing organizational support through 24/7 support line system.


  • Community College diploma in the Social/Human Services or other job-related course of study plus at least 5 years experience working in a community based Human Services organization and working with people with developmental disabilities, or an Undergraduate degree from a recognized university in the Social/Human Services or other job-related field of study plus at least 5 years experience working in a community based organization and working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Supervisory experience and experience working in a unionized workplace are assets.
  • Strong ability to effectively organize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the internet, MS Office applications and databases.
  • Possess discretion, tact and good judgment.
  • Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude, willing to work with and engage individuals, families and team members.
  • A satisfactory vulnerable sector check within the last six months, valid driver’s licence and regular access to a reliable personal vehicle, valid First Aid/CPR certification, CPI certification.

Day Camp Leaders

We are currently accepting resumes for summer employment, assisting children and youth in a one-on-one setting. The positions begin late-June continuing through to late August, with a work week of 40 hours, Monday –Friday, 8 am -4 pm. Rate of pay is $18 per hour. Positions are available in Arnprior and in Renfrew.

Qualifications: A Secondary School Diploma. Students attending college or university, enrolled in a social service field and experience working with people with developmental disabilities are an asset. Other requirements will include, a valid first aid/cpr certification, valid “G” class driver’s license in good standing, current vulnerable sector check and a driver’s abstract are all requirements for the position.

These summer positions are supported through government initiative programs and have other eligibility requirements including being between the ages of 15-29 and enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school.

Support Workers

Opportunities are available in our Supported Group Living program in Arnprior and/or Renfrew for Part time and on-call Support Workers. Hours include days, evenings, overnights and weekends; typical shifts are 12 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing respectful direct care supports including personal care, dispensing medication, supporting individuals with daily routines, teaching life skills, meal preparation, household chores, driving association vehicles, respecting privacy and rights, maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications: secondary school diploma, valid first aid/cpr certification, valid driver’s license, current criminal/vulnerable sector check and drivers abstract report. Good communication skills, organizational skills and previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities. PSW, DSW, SSW, ECE are all assets.

The hourly rate for this position is $ 20.44 per hour along with additional vacation accrual percentage.
