Support Workers

Opportunities are available in our Supported Group Living program in Arnprior and/or Renfrew for Part time and on-call Support Workers. Hours include days, evenings, overnights and weekends; typical shifts are 12 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing respectful direct care supports including personal care, dispensing medication, supporting individuals with daily routines, teaching life skills, meal preparation, household chores, driving association vehicles, respecting privacy and rights, maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications: secondary school diploma, valid first aid/CPR certification, valid driver’s license, current criminal/vulnerable sector check and drivers abstract report. Good communication skills, organizational skills and previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities. PSW, DSW, SSW, ECE are all assets.

The hourly rate for this position is $ 23.64 (includes $3.00 wage enhancement) per hour along with additional vacation accrual percentage.

Human Resources Assistant/Payroll

Community Living Renfrew County South is a charitable non-profit organization that is committed to “working with others to improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities”.

We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Assistant/Payroll

This is a part-time position.

Days/Hours: 24 hours per week (Monday-Wednesday)

Responsibilities include: biweekly payroll processing, human resources functions and administrative duties.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a post secondary education in related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration, Payroll/Bookkeeping, with one to three years’ payroll experience. Experience with Simply Accounting Program would be an asset along with strong computer experience including Microsoft Excel skills and excellent time management/organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills.

Full Time Support Worker Positions

Positions are available in our Supported Group Living Program in Arnprior. Hours of Work: 12-hour rotational day shifts working 84 hours in a 2 week pay period.

Responsibilities include, providing supports, assistance and resources to residents in a group home setting. Duties include but are not limited to: providing care, welfare, safety and security to people supported, respecting rights, direct care, including personal care, medication administration, assistance with daily living routines, meal preparation, shopping, household chores, attend and assist for medical/health directives, maintaining support plans, driving association vehicles, money management/records.

Qualifications:

Community College Diploma in Social Services or the successful completion of the equivalent of two years formal education at a post-secondary level in a job-related course of study or an Undergraduate Degree from a recognized University in Social Sciences or other job-related field of study. Preferred qualification: DSW Diploma. In addition, at least two years direct service experience working for a community organization providing services and/or supports to Individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Requirements: Valid First Aid/CPR certificate, Valid Driver’s License and current Vulnerable Sector Check in good standing, CPI certification (will be provided), proficiency in written and verbal communication, proficiency in computer skills.

Hourly rate: $25.89 (includes $3 wage enhancement), additional compensation-weekend premium pay.
