Support Workers

Opportunities are available in our Supported Group Living program in Arnprior and/or Renfrew for Permanent Part-Time Support Workers.

Hours include days, evenings, overnights and weekends; typical shifts are 12 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: personal care, dispensing medication, supporting individuals, teaching life skills, driving association vehicles, cooking meals, cleaning of home, yard work, respecting privacy and rights, maintaining confidentiality, responding to emergency/crisis situations and completing essential paperwork.

Qualifications: secondary school diploma, valid first aid/CPR certification, valid driver’s license, current criminal/vulnerable sector check and drivers abstract report. Good communication skills, organizational skills and previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities. PSW, DSW, SSW, ECE are all assets.

Summer Students-Day Camp Leaders

Community Living Renfrew County South is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides services and supports to people with developmental disabilities.

We are currently accepting applications/resumes for students interested in summer employment, assisting children and youth in a structured camp program. The positions begin mid-June continuing through to late August, with a work week of 35 hours, Monday –Friday. Positions are available in Arnprior and in Renfrew.

Qualifications: A Secondary School Diploma. Students attending college or university, enrolled in a social service field and experience working with people with developmental disabilities are an asset. Other requirements include, a valid first aid/cpr certification, valid “G” driver’s license in good standing, current criminal record/vulnerable sector check (obtained within six months) and a driver’s abstract are all requirements for the position.

Our summer positions are supported through government initiative programs and have eligibility requirements which include full time school attendance for the current year with plans to return to full time school in the fall. Community Living Renfrew County South is an equal opportunity employer.
