Join the team at Community Living Renfrew County
South There are immediate opportunities for casual support workers in our Supported Group Living Program both in the Arnprior and Renfrew area. Hours are: as needed, with flexibility to work evenings, overnights and weekends. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing supports and assistance to people, respecting privacy and rights, responding to emergency/crisis situations, personal care, dispensing medication, money management and general bookkeeping duties. Good communication and organizational skills along with the ability to work independently and with other team members. Qualifications - Secondary School Diploma, maintain a valid First Aid, CPR and CPI certificate, maintain a valid drivers's license. Previous experience in working in Human Services would be an asset. There are student positions available for our 'Summer Program' both in Arnprior and Renfrew. Employment for these positions runs from mid-June through to the end of August, working 35 hours weekly. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing supports and assistance to teenagers or children, respecting privacy and rights, work in a recreational/leisure environment that encourages and supports integration in the community, plan and implement daily activities, trips and special events, provide the necessary support for teenagers/children to participate and interact appropriately with others in a group situation and to liaise with parents. Good communication and organizational skills along with the ability to work independently and with other team members. Students applying must be returning to school in the fall semester and maintain a valid driver's license. Previous experience working in Human Services would be an asset.
